CondemNation

CondemNation presents itself as a scrolling game of “Sartre Says…” an LED display board repeating commands without end. The screen blinks, the words insist, yet nothing follows. Unlike other works that press directly on the loss of affect [Ciracade], this piece chooses instead to play, to turn philosophy into an automated gesture. The seriousness collapses into banality, the gravitas of existential thought reduced to cheap light, endlessly moving. It is less an instruction than a provocation, a child’s game tangled with the weight of meaning.
